Parimatch signs Oleksandr Usyk as first responsible gaming ambassador

Former undisputed cruiserweight champion will be seen promoting the firm’s commitment to developing responsible gambling principles.

Parimatch Tech has partnered with the undefeated Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk as the firm’s debut responsible gaming ambassador, ahead of his clash against Anthony Joshua this weekend.

As per the agreement, the 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning fighter and former undisputed cruiserweight champion will be seen promoting the firm’s commitment to developing responsible gambling principles by ‘following global trends’ and using tools to assist players with their decision making.

Sports betting and gaming tech developer Parimatch through its new initiative is trying to reiterate its commitment to responsible gaming. It has also planned to conduct educational events for clients and raise community awareness about responsible gambling.

Commenting on the partnership, Oleksandr Usyk said, “Willpower, intrinsic motivation and self-control are the key elements for victory.

“The same goes for gambling: it is important to stay mindful while gambling, to understand that this is just a way to have fun and get positive emotions, and you can always pause if necessary.

“This is what I mean by responsible gambling. Therefore, I join the initiative of Parimatch, which will raise the awareness of players about the principles of fair, responsible and transparent gambling.”

Maksym Liashko, Parimatch Tech Co-CEO, said, “As market leaders in the CIS and a responsible business, we are championing the move towards responsible gambling.

“Our team will advance the responsible gambling project in development, analytics, and communication with clients. We are confident that the partnership with Oleksandr will take our initiatives to a new level and help Parimatch spread knowledge about responsible gambling among players worldwide.”

Parimatch Tech continues its expansion in the world of sports, as recently it extended its partnerships with football clubs Juventus, Everton, and Leicester City and also entered into new agreements with Chelsea, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Southampton.

There are also reports that the company has also been signed as the front-of-shirt sponsor of the Pro Kabaddi League side Tamil Thalaivas.
