Panini, European League of Football to promote US sports in Europe

In this development between ELF and Panini, the latter will provide football fans and collectors with coordinating, attractive collectible products in the form of trading cards and stickers.

The official Italian sticker and trading card licensee, Panini has announced a partnership with the professional American football tournament, the European League of Football (ELF). This new agreement was signed with the intention of spreading American sports to Europe and making them a part of local culture.

Panini will provide football fans and collectors with coordinating, attractive collectible products in the form of trading cards and stickers throughout the third season of the ELF, which kicks off in June.

Hermann Paul, Managing Director of Panini, commented, “The agreement between these two companies creates a symbiosis of two great passions – football and collecting.”

Managing Director of the European League of Football, Zeljko Karajica, said, “Immortalizing one’s stars as trading cards or in one’s sticker album was something fans wanted right from the start of our league. Now we are making collecting possible. Top European football now also takes place at Panini.”

The European League of Football will have seventeen teams in the 2023 season. The Munich Ravens, Fehérvár Enthroners, Prague Lions, Paris Musketeers, Milano Seamen, and Helvetic Guards will join the last season’s competitors. Thus, seventeen teams representing nine different countries will embark on their journey to Duisburg in June. The Championship Game will take place on September 24 at the Schauinsland-Reisen Arena.

The European League of Football, the most professional football league in Europe, has established the objective of putting the sport on strong media and financial shoulders.

The Panini Group was formed in Modena, Italy, more than 60 years ago. It operates subsidiaries all over Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
