Pakistan Super League renews association with TikTok

This deal was the result of a successful response that both the parties garnered through their association in the HBL PSL 6 wherein TikTok received a whopping 1.6 billion+ views on its platform.

The most popular T20 cricket league in Pakistan, Pakistan Super League (PSL) has extended its partnership with global media platform TikTok for the next two editions of its thrilling tournament. This is a two-year association making TikTok, the official entertainment partner of the HBL PSL for seasons 7 and 8. The 7th season starts on January 27, 2022.

From this partnership, the cricket enthusiasts of Pakistan can escalate and share their celebration for the iconic moments of the upcoming competition through the digital platform’ by using the hashtag #KhelegaPakistan. The popular media firm will also showcase the pre and post-match highlights of the game while providing exclusive content and exciting cricket challenges to engage the PSL audience and create a sensational experience of the tournament for them.

The Chairman of PCB, Mr Ramiz Raja commented on this association and said, “We are delighted to have TikTok join hands with us as our Official Entertainment Partner for HBL Pakistan Super League 7 and 8. Platforms like TikTok have revolutionised content generation and have brought people together through some incredibly creative and entertaining short videos that are watched around the world. The HBL Pakistan Super League has historically provided rich entertainment with quality cricket and this year will be no different with TikTok providing another exciting platform for the fans.”

He further added, “We have made record-breaking gains in terms of our media, sponsorship and broadcast rights in recent days and this partnership is another important milestone for us ahead of the start of the HBL PSL 7. I am confident that both PCB and TikTok will have major gains to make over the course of the next two months and beyond once Pakistan is gripped by the HBL PSL 7 fever starting 27 January.”

Paul Katrib, the Head of Brand Marketing for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Pakistan at TikTok also put forth his views on the grand collaboration and said, “We are excited to become the official Entertainment Partner of the HBL PSL 7 and 8, the biggest sporting event in Pakistan. With this partnership, we aim to bring the spirit and passion of this great tournament to its fans on TikTok for the next two seasons.
