Pakistan Cricket Board unveils international media rights tender for the home international series

Potential bidders can obtain the appropriate tender documents by emailing pcb.bidding@pcb.com.pk until July 1.

The national cricket governing body of Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled an international media rights tender for the home international series through December 2026.

The tender involves broadcast TV, digital, audio, online, and mobile rights for all home series played by Pakistan’s senior national teams during the given time period. There are 14 men’s series planned over the next two and a half years, beginning in August with a visit from Bangladesh for two Tests.

Moreover, England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies are also scheduled to tour Pakistan. PCB has also stated that a women’s national team schedule will be announced shortly.

Potential bidders can obtain the appropriate tender documents by emailing pcb.bidding@pcb.com.pk until July 1, with the deadline for submitting proposals set for July 10. On the same day, the PCB’s offices will open for the technical proposals, which will be opened independently from the financial portion of the submissions.

The most recent set of major international media rights deals encompassing Pakistan’s home series were signed between late 2020 and early 2021, with a cycle that extends through 2023. Deals during that time period included collaborations with Sky Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, SuperSport in Sub-Saharan Africa, Willow TV in North America, and Foxtel in Australia.

Since those agreements were concluded, the PCB has been selling short-term international rights for series such as New Zealand’s visit in April. It first sold rights to Pakistani broadcasters ARY Digital and TransGroup International, who subsequently sold them to networks around the world.

The PCB asserted in January that the value of the domestic live-streaming rights sales for its Pakistan Super League (PSL) witnessed a rise of 113% from the 2022–2023 cycle to the 2024–2025 edition. Walee Technologies, a marketing platform, obtained that bundle.

The Pakistani team has had a difficult time in the United States, losing to both the hosts and archrivals India in consecutive games. The unit requires an enormous turnaround in form to qualify for the Super Eights, but given the matches are against Ireland and Canada, fans are hoping to see their team clinch four points comfortably.
