Pacific Life has expanded its investment in Olympic sport after signing a multi-year partnership with US Sailing to become the presenting partner of the US Sailing Team through 2028, strengthening the national governing body’s commercial portfolio ahead of the LA28 Olympic Games.
The agreement places the financial services company among US Sailing’s top-tier commercial partners and will integrate the Pacific Life brand across the national team’s athlete programme, digital platforms, events and fan engagement initiatives. As part of the partnership, Pacific Life will also support athlete storytelling, hospitality experiences, community programmes and activations at yacht clubs across the United States, with a particular focus on Southern California as preparations intensify for the 2028 Olympics.
The partnership arrives at a defining moment for American sailing. With Los Angeles set to host the 2028 Olympic Games and sailing events taking place off the Southern California coastline, US Sailing is ramping up investment in athlete development and commercial growth to capitalise on the increased visibility surrounding a home Olympics.
Charlie Enright, Chief Executive Officer of US Sailing, said, “Pacific Life’s commitment to excellence, long-term planning, and helping people achieve their financial goals aligns closely with the values that drive our athletes and our organisation. As we build toward 2028 and continue investing in the future of American sailing, Pacific Life’s support will help provide meaningful opportunities for our athletes while strengthening our connection with sailors, yacht clubs, and supporters across the country.”
Pacific Life President and Chief Executive Officer Darryl Button added, “We are proud to partner with US Sailing and the US Sailing Team. Success in sailing isn’t defined by a single race; it is earned through years of dedication, discipline, and preparation. We see a strong connection between that journey and how Pacific Life serves its customers. We are honoured to support our exceptional U.S. sailors, windsurfers, and kiteboarders as they represent the US Sailing Team on the world stage.”
From a commercial perspective, the agreement extends well beyond traditional branding rights. By combining athlete marketing, digital content, hospitality and grassroots engagement, the partnership provides Pacific Life with year-round access to one of America’s most affluent sporting communities while giving US Sailing additional resources to support elite performance and broaden participation in the sport. With LA28 approaching, the collaboration also positions both organisations to capitalise on the growing commercial momentum surrounding Olympic sports in the United States.
