OSCAR Foundation has inaugurated its first community football pitch at the Mohammed Umar Rajjab Mumbai Public School in Madanpura, marking a significant milestone in its goal to strengthen youth through football and education.
The project is part of the ‘Healthy Goals Programme,’ and Mumbai City FC serves as a technical partner.
Since 2023, the OSCAR Foundation has been raising funds to establish and refurbish community football facilities, as well as running youth-led football and leadership programs. The first pitch under the Healthy Goals Programme is now a reality, owing to Mumbai City FC’s support, providing structured football training and essential life skills to children and youth in one of Mumbai’s largest communities.
The Mohammed Umar Rajjab School will be the first in Madanpura to provide structured football and life skills sessions, as well as leadership training, to community children and youth as part of the Healthy Goals Programme. This program is an important move towards empowering the area’s youth with high-quality sports infrastructure and life skills.
The Healthy Goals programme will continue to raise funds and use football as a tool for boosting the health of young Mumbai residents. The program’s goal is to have a long-term impact on communities by providing access to quality sports infrastructure and creating a healthier, more active generation.
