Orlando Magic, Walt Disney World Resort sign sponsorship renewal

The entity's logo will continue to appear on the left of the jersey.

Orlando Magic, the National Basketball Association (NBA) team, have inked a partnership renewal with Walt Disney World Resort.

Following this development, Walt Disney World Resort will continue to be the team’s jersey patch partner. The entity’s logo will continue to appear on the left of the jersey.

With this multi-year accord, the fans of the NBA team will receive the privilege of purchasing Magic jerseys with the logo of Disney at Amway Center and will also continue to witness Disney featured throughout the arena.

Speaking on the association, Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World, said, “The Orlando Magic and Disney have much in common, and it’s reflected in our hometown team’s name. We are excited to extend this relationship and wish them a great season.”

The initial partnership between the two parties involved was inked in 2010 and Disney has been Magic’s sponsor since the 2017-18 season. The original partnership was for three years, and the league’s patch sponsorship along with NBA’s three-year test period for ads on game jerseys was extended indefinitely.

In this association, the two entities have collaborated on initiatives that enhanced the local community, including the financial backing of the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation’s open golf tournament and the Orlando Magic recreation centres.

On the partnership, Magic CEO Alex Martins, said, “The extension represents a continued shared commitment to both the local community and creating magic for fans and guests alike. As pillars in the Orlando community, we are proud to represent the City of Orlando and all those who call ‘The City Beautiful’ home.”
