Oracle Red Bull Racing renews partnership with Philips Professional Displays

PPDS became Red Bull Racing's sole digital display supplier in 2023, expanding on its previous achievements.

The Formula 1 team, Oracle Red Bull Racing has inked a multi-year partnership extension with a company that provides professional displays and digital signage solutions for a variety of industries, Philips Professional Displays (PPDS).

The new arrangement solidifies PPDS’s status as a team partner and extends its role as the sole supplier of digital displays for the eight-time Formula 1 World Championship-winning team through 2025 and beyond.

PPDS initially worked with Oracle Red Bull Racing as an official team supplier in 2022, redefining the VIP experience at the team’s renowned Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club. By utilising Philips Professional Displays, which included a specially designed 10m² Ultra HD Philips dvLED videowall, PPDS set new benchmarks for race day hospitality by providing live 4K UHD race footage, unique behind-the-scenes content, pit lane access, and driver audio feeds.

PPDS became Red Bull Racing’s sole digital display supplier in 2023, expanding on its previous achievements. The collaboration grew to consist of advanced display solutions for the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes, including 13 Philips interactive displays for the global marketing team, a 110-inch dvLED wall in the MK-7 Boardroom, and an unprecedented 46.25-meter-wide dvLED wall in the MK-7 events venue, which was revealed in September.

The expanded partnership takes this relationship to the next level, with specialised solutions planned to benefit even more essential departments on the Red Bull Technology Campus. This includes cutting-edge installations at the new 5,000ft² Red Bull Ford Powertrains plant, which focuses on building next-generation engines in-house.

The agreement also provides unrivalled possibilities for PPDS’ partners and clients, such as unique race day hospitality at major Grand Prix venues like Monaco, Monza, and Silverstone. Since 2022, more than 100 partners have participated in these one-of-a-kind events.

Christian Horner, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, said, “In the fast-paced world of Formula One, if you stop innovating or striving to be better, you’re settling for second best. This is something we believe in everything we do, both on and off the racetrack. It’s therefore imperative we choose the right partners to join us on our journey, whether building new engines or providing best-in-class digital displays. With PPDS, we have a partner who shares our philosophy and ambitions, and we are delighted to be extending into a new era with them.”

Martijn van der Woude, PPDS’ VP Global Marketing and Business Development, said, “In AV the best success stories are driven by true partnerships. Industry leaders and pioneers coming together to deliver winning solutions. That essence is fully captured working with Oracle Red Bull Racing, a team like ourselves, that prefers to lead rather than follow and is not afraid to take risks to achieve its goals and ambitions. We are incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve together and look forward to continuing this success.”
