OPPO, the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, has taken a big step toward being a Southeast Asian football sponsor. By enrolling as an Official Smartphone for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, the continent’s biggest and prestigious football tournament.
The deal is managed by SPORTFIVE, an exclusive trade partner. As a result, it is regarded as OPPO’s first launch. Southeast Asia is a great place to start if you want to get into the sport. It’s also part of a larger plan to utilise sports to engage with customers. In addition to spreading the brand’s impact throughout the area to support.
OPPO is dedicated to encouraging people to love football via technology and creativity. Regardless of where you’re from or what you are doing, ‘Play with your heart,’ whether on the pitch or in life. This is the next move in OPPO’s global sports marketing campaign, which has seen the brand support to Brazilian athlete Neymar in 2018, as well as FC Barcelona, the International Cricket Council (ICC), Roland Garros, Wimbledon, the Africa Cup, and the Boston Marathon.
Immy Yi, Oppo APAC president, said, “Football is a sport that ignites the passion of millions of fans across Southeast Asia. With this sponsorship, we want to give the audience an opportunity to closely interact with the Oppo brand and experience our products, while they enjoy the matches and cherish the special moments created.”
As one of Southeast Asia’s best-performing smartphone companies, OPPO aims to promote its brand by supporting the AFF Suzuki Cup and using the competition’s multi-platform marketing engagement. It also includes the ability to use the name and serves as the presenting representation for ‘OPPO Man of the Match’. This year’s ‘Decibel Challenge’ will be sponsored by OPPO. The event took place in 2018 and rewarded a large crowd. During the tournament, it was also the best among Southeast Asian countries.
OPPO is familiar with the essence of sport as the official partner of tournaments all around the globe, and the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 will enable them to interact with several football fans. The AFF Suzuki Cup will take place from December 5, 2021, to January 1, 2022, initiating a competitive sport amongst East Asian football heavyweights. Southeast Asia will be up again, bringing together the enthusiasm of football fans from all around the country.
