A monthly payable employee healthcare platform, Onsurity, has onboarded the former Indian cricket team captain, Anil Kumble, as a strategic advisor and investor. Kumble hopes that the partnership will increase awareness about the value of healthcare and well-being between employees and their families.
The company believes that contractors or off-role staff in sports, industrial production, services, or technology deserve a specialist approach to ensuring their well-being and health.
Commenting on the partnership, Anil Kumble said, “I have personally witnessed and led fundraisers for this vulnerable workforce, who are usually not full-time employees in the ecosystem. Through this collaboration, I am looking forward to raising awareness about the importance of healthcare and well-being among employees and their families, which I feel can solve healthcare issues of India’s missing middle.“
As per the company, Onsurity’s collaboration with Kumble emerges almost two and a half years after the global pandemic initially broke out, and has enhanced the realisation of the significance of satisfactory health and wellness coverage for employees of India’s start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), for retaining employees, employee social security, and protected career growth.
Kumble’s mindset and problem-solving attitude are completely in line with the corporation’s distinct framework of offering affordable healthcare coverage, wellness, and social security remedies to the general public.
Yogesh Agarwal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Onsurity, said, “His association would help us move closer to our vision of providing digitally enabled healthcare benefits for 300 million workforces employed with the emerging businesses of India.“
