OneFootball partners up with Ligue 1

The French football governing body Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) announced on Wednesday a collaboration with Germany-based football media company OneFootball that will cover the league’s editorial content.

Under this partnership between Ligue1 and Onefootball’s editorial teams, all the top tier Ligue 1 news (in the English language) will be available to all the users of the platform across the globe. Along with this incentive, breaking news can be sent instantly by push notification to all application users or to segmented user groups, ensuring high visibility of targeted news articles at the users’ fingertips and keep the fans up to date by engaging with them in real-time through the official English Ligue 1 podcast, ‘Le Beau Jeu’ (‘The Beautiful Game’), with more joint content initiatives still under progress.

LFP Deputy CEO Mathieu Ficot was pleased with this deal as Ligue de Football Professionnel became the first professional football league to join the OneFootball network. Also, with this partnership, he hopes that they cater as much engagement to the fans as possible as the demand for Ligue 1 Uber Eats content is growing at a good pace. He said,  “Distributing our high-quality news and podcasts, through the widely-used OneFootball application and website will help us reach our avid international audience.”

Speaking of the partnership, Lucas von Cranach, Founder and CEO, OneFootball also commented by displaying his joy. He said, “Ligue 1 Uber Eats is one of the world’s most-followed leagues and through streaming live games each weekend in Brazil we can see our users have a keen interest and passion to receive greater levels of content.”

This development comes after a busy month for the football media platform that witnessed OneFootball announce the German Football Association (DFB), Borussia Dortmund, and Tottenham Hotspur as their new shareholders, which was followed by the partnership with Brazilian Football Confederation.
