McLaren Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with Okta, a leading independent identity partner, starting with the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The collaboration aims to bolster McLaren‘s digital infrastructure, enhance security, and improve fan engagement.

As an official partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team, Okta will work closely with the racing team to streamline operations and ensure secure access for partners, fans, and employees. Okta’s identity management solutions will be instrumental in protecting McLaren’s valuable data and systems, contributing to increased efficiency both on and off the track.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and said, “We are thrilled to welcome Okta as an Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team. This strategic partnership will enhance our team’s performance, efficiency, and security off the track, enabling us to stay focused on building upon last season’s on-track successes.”

Todd McKinnon, CEO and Co-Founder of Okta, added, “Okta is proud to partner with McLaren and we look forward to identifying how we can help protect the identities of their millions of fans, partners and employees across the globe. By coupling speed with security, together we’ll be able to strengthen the team’s confidence that their identities are secure so they can focus on their performance on track.”

Okta’s branding will be prominently displayed on McLaren’s F1 race cars and driver overalls. Beyond branding, the partnership will explore innovative ways to enhance fan engagement and elevate their digital experience.

Okta is the leading independent identity partner. The Okta Identity Cloud provides secure access to everything, from workforce and customer identities to cloud and on-premises applications. Over 17,000 organizations trust Okta to safeguard the identities of their employees and customers.

The Papaya Army secured the F1 constructors’ championship for the ninth time last season. The 2025 season kicks off with pre-season testing in Sakhir, Bahrain, on February 26, followed by the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
