Now TV renews Premier League media rights deal for Hong Kong

Now TV has continued its stint of broadcasting the premium tournament in Hong Kong for 12 consecutive years.

The media network unit of Hong Kong Telecom (HKT), Now TV has renewed its broadcasting contract with the Premier League. Through this deal, Now TV has secured the official media rights of the jaw-dropping tournament for the next three seasons that is from 2022/2023 to 2024/2025.

Through this partnership expansion, the broadcasting company will bring live coverage of all the exciting 380 games of the English top-flight to its sports fans in Hong Kong. In addition to this, the network will also deliver selected matches in 4k quality to elevate the viewing experience. With this, the platform has also developed unique facilities such as Multi-Angle and Watch Party to further engage the audience and enhance their exposure.

Derek Choi, the Head of Pay TV at HKT, commented on this extension and said, “We are excited to extend our longstanding partnership with Premier League for the coming three seasons exclusively in Hong Kong. Being Hong Kong’s Home of Sports, the continued broadcast of the Premier League and the addition of SPOTV reaffirm our commitment to bring the best global sports content to the city.”

He further added, “Now TV is Hong Kong’s first broadcaster to offer Premier League matches in 4K. Add to that our comprehensive coverage and innovative features, we are confident that we can provide the best-ever Premier League experience to Hong Kong viewers.”

Now TV will also deliver this coverage through its multiple platforms such as Now Player App and Now E to increase the outreach of the tournament and facilitate easy access. With this renewal, the media unit has continued its stint of broadcasting the premium tournament in Hong Kong for 12 consecutive years.

Recently, Sky Sport New ZealandViacomCBS and fuboTV have also bagged the media rights of the prominent football tournament.
