Novo Nordisk India has appointed the former Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev, as their brand ambassador, in order to take their diabetes awareness program to a next level.
The press release, which announced Kapil Dev as the brand ambassador stated, “This partnership aims to create awareness about better diabetes management and early insulin adoption”.
India currently stands as the capital of diabetes, the figures stated that by 2045 nearly 134.3 million people will be affected by diabetes. While most of the people have failed to realize that they have been suffering from this condition, with the youngsters also joining in the list other than the adults. Following this issue, the company wants to create awareness about diabetes and has joined hands with Kapil Dev for the same reason.
The legend of Indian cricket has himself managed diabetes for these past years and won against it with proper treatment and therapy.
Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Dev, said: “For people with diabetes to lead a healthy and active life is possible, all it needs is awareness and early action, early initiation of the right modern medicines and simple lifestyle modifications.
