English football clubs continue to expand their commercial portfolios ahead of the 2026-27 season, with Norwich City, Swansea City and newly promoted Premier League side Sunderland AFC unveiling key partnership agreements that reinforce their respective commercial and fan engagement strategies.

Norwich City have extended their principal partnership with UK sportsbook BetWright into the 2026-27 season, building on a relationship that began ahead of the previous campaign. BetWright will continue to feature on the back of the men’s first-team shorts while retaining a strong presence across the club’s commercial and digital assets.

The partnership has also placed a strong emphasis on community impact through the BetWright initiative, which has supported the installation of life-saving defibrillators across Norfolk.

Ed Turnham, commercial director at Norwich City, said, “We’re pleased to extend our partnership with BetWright ahead of the 2026/27 season. The relationship has grown considerably during our first season together, and we’re excited to continue building on that success. We look forward to seeing the BetWright logo on our men’s first team kit again, as well as supporting our purpose-driven mission.”

Meanwhile, Swansea City have secured one of the most significant commercial agreements in the club’s recent history by appointing global nutrition company AG1 as their new front-of-shirt sponsor. The multi-faceted partnership will see AG1 branding appear across the men’s and women’s first-team kits while also incorporating stadium advertising, digital activations and performance-focused collaboration.

Beyond commercial visibility, AG1 will work closely with Swansea’s men’s, women’s and academy teams, supporting the club’s growing investment in sports science, player recovery and high-performance infrastructure

Swansea City chief executive officer Tom Gorringe said, “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with AG1 to have their branding on the front of our shirts for the upcoming season. Given the financial regulations within the league, generating more income is essential for the club to be able to compete. “

“This agreement underlines the hard work put in by our ownership group and team on the ground in Swansea to give us the base from which to put as strong a team as possible on the pitch for the season ahead. Additionally, our men’s and women’s senior teams and academy set-ups will benefit from AG1’s industry-leading expertise by using a quality product that exceeds industry standards to support physical and mental performance.

“As a club, we have continued to invest in our performance data, sports science and player recovery to give our teams every possible advantage. Partnering with AG1 is a natural next step in that evolution, complementing the work already taking place behind the scenes and reinforcing our commitment to providing players with the very best environment to perform and develop.”

Elsewhere, Sunderland AFC have strengthened their international commercial strategy following their return to the Premier League by appointing P1 Travel and XS2Event as official international ticket and hospitality sales partners.

The partnership is designed to improve access to official match tickets, hospitality packages and sports travel experiences for supporters worldwide, while broadening the club’s international reach and creating new matchday revenue opportunities.

Sunderland AFC Chief Commercial Officer, Scott McCubbin, said, “We’re pleased to welcome P1 Travel as a partner of Sunderland AFC, supported by XS2Event. As interest in the Club continues to grow, both around the UK and internationally, it’s important that we create new ways for fans to get to know Sunderland and enjoy a fantastic matchday experience as part of their time in the region.

“This partnership enables fans to access official sports break packages through trusted providers, giving them greater choice and a range of local activities, convenience and peace of mind when planning their visit to the Stadium of Light. This is all designed to spread the word and increase our reach – allowing more fans worldwide to experience what it means to be Sunderland.

“We look forward to working closely with P1 Travel and XS2Event to create experiences for supporters from further afield throughout the season.”

Taken together, the three announcements highlight the increasingly diverse commercial strategies being adopted across English football. From sponsorship renewals and high-value front-of-shirt agreements to international ticketing partnerships, clubs are continuing to diversify revenue streams while deepening fan engagement both domestically and across global markets.
