NODWIN Gaming, a subsidiary of India’s leading gaming and esports company, Nazara Technologies, has announced SonyLIV, India’s leading digital streaming platform, as the streaming partner for select matches of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025.
As part of the agreement, SonyLIV will broadcast select matches in English and Hindi from the Esports World Cup in India, delivering the action to millions of fans. Coverage has begun on July 24 with Hindi chess, followed by a Hindi webcast of EWC matches beginning July 25, including India’s BGMI team Aryan x TMG Gaming, among others. Tekken 8 launches on August 13.
Notably, the Hindi-language broadcast will be available only through the SonyLIV app and official website.
SonyLIV will also stream weekly shows, behind-the-scenes features, and player interactions featuring EWC athletes and teams, which are curated for both core and informal esports audiences. The affiliation builds on NODWIN Gaming’s previous agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to oversee media rights and regional distribution in South Asia.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, said, “Our goal is to bring the Esports World Cup to as many passionate fans across South Asia as possible, and this partnership with SonyLIV is a major step in that direction. It combines SonyLIV’s incredible reach with NODWIN’s focus on building localized, fan-first esports experiences. With both Hindi and premium English content, we are creating a viewing experience that feels personal, immersive, and truly regional.”
The Esports World Cup 2025, hosted by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in summer 2025, showcasing the world’s best esports clubs and players in a variety of forms. With a record-breaking global prize pool of $70.45 million (more than INR 600 crore) and an ever-increasing international viewership, the event continues to set the standard for professional gaming throughout the world.
With SonyLIV as the official Hindi broadcast partner and NODWIN Gaming as the strategic regional media and marketing partner, the EWC is primed to achieve unparalleled success in South Asia.
