The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan has announced a new sponsorship deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA) teams, Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards for the pre-season matches scheduled in Japan.

Nissan will obtain in-venue and on-court advertising at the games, which will be hosted at the Saitama Super Arena on September 30 and October 2, as well as a wide range of fan activities leading up to the games.

The matches which are known as the NBA Japan Games 2022, were first revealed in March. For the first time, NBA will tour Japan since the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. Between 1990 and 2003, the NBA played 12 regular-season games in Japan. Since then, it has held pre-season friendlies in the country on a regular basis.

Moreover, a Japanese e-commerce company, Rakuten will sponsor and telecast both matches in Japan. In 2017, the firm signed a multi-year marketing agreement with the NBA, and the league has been broadcasting on a solely devoted streaming platform since 2019.

Furthermore, Nissan also recently announced a sponsorship agreement with LaLiga. Nissan will become a third-tier sponsor of LaLiga as part of the one-year accord.
