NHL signs renewal with MGM Resorts, BetMGM

This collaboration will assist all three signatories to power share their joint commitment towards responsible and safe gaming activity.

The ice hockey organization, National Hockey League (NHL) has signed a partnership extension with the notable firm MGM Resorts International and its subsidiary sports gambling unit, BetMGM. By this multi-year renewal deal, both the brands will continue to serve as the official resort partner and sports betting partner of the NHL respectively.

Through this extension, MGM Resorts and BetMGM will utilize the NHL brands to elate the tournament experience for sports enthusiasts and customers. The brands will indulge in popular jewel events of the league and would leverage their signage and activation opportunities. The prominent resort property will also be hosting NHL All-Star Weekend events in Las Vegas.

This collaboration will also assist all three signatories to power share their joint commitment towards responsible and safe gaming activity. Being the official partners of the American Gaming Association’s public campaign, the brands would aim to work together to educate new betters on sports gambling.

Evin Dobson, the NHL Group’s Vice President, Partnership Marketing, commented on this long-term renewal and said, “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with MGM Resorts and BetMGM. Our extension enables us to continue to work together on delivering innovative content programming to connect with our passionate fans. Lance Evans, the Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsorships at MGM Resorts, put forth his views on the grand extension and said, “Our partnership with the NHL has been a tremendous success, allowing us to provide guests and hockey fans with unparalleled access to their favorite teams. Alongside BetMGM, we remain committed to helping the League grow its audience, while offering fans new and entertaining experiences.”

Adam Greenblatt, the CEO of BetMGM, also gave his insights on the extended association and said, “This collaboration allows BetMGM to deliver the best-in-class hockey product, including a wide-variety of NHL wagering options. We will continue to work with the League to reach new fans, as we expand into new markets.”

NHL has recently held some lucrative commercial deals. This includes multi-year associations with Extreme NetworksInterwettenYandex and Telstra.
