NHL, Caterpillar ink a multi-year deal

The sponsorship will commence at the NHL 2022-23 regular season.

Caterpillar Inc. and the National Hockey League (NHL) have confirmed a multi-year worldwide partnership deal. In this association, Caterpillar has been named as the NHL’s official heavy equipment and industrial power sponsor.

The sponsorship will begin at the NHL 2022-23 regular season and will celebrate those who produce, sell, and operate Caterpillar’s goods and services.

Caterpillar and its distributors may discover possibilities to help the NHL by delivering behind-the-scenes items and initiatives to help NHL matches and special experiences as component of the partnership.

The NHL will work with Caterpillar to integrate its goods into NHL events, such as NHL All-Star Weekend, NHL Stadium Series, and NHL Winter Classic, by showcasing the firm’s heavy machinery appliances and huge industrial power systems via TV and huge visible signboards as well as in-stadium branding at the League’s premier events. The NHL will also partner with Caterpillar to encourage hockey in local areas via Caterpillar’s networks of dealership.

Yvette Morrison, Global Head of Marketing and Brand for Caterpillar, said, “Caterpillar and the National Hockey League both represent committed and passionate doers who work hard as part of a team to accomplish a goal.

“We will use this sponsorship to engage with customers and employees providing them with an enjoyable experience.”

Max Paulsen, NHL Senior Director and Business Development, stated, “We are excited to welcome Caterpillar to the NHL family to engage our passionate fans and Caterpillar’s customers around the globe.

“Caterpillar is one of the top brands in the world and aligns with the many attributes our great sport embodies. We look forward to creating compelling and unique initiatives that will delight new and existing fans while providing Caterpillar extensive brand visibility at our tentpole events and across NHL media platforms.”

Caterpillar has also signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Major League Soccer (MLS).
