NFL extends radio broadcast deal with SiriusXM

Users will prolong to get all the necessary access to games via Sirius' radio and SXM App.

The National Football League (NFL) has announced that it has renewed its domestic radio broadcast rights deal with SiriusXM.

The extended contract has been signed for five years and will continue to see SiriusXM as the team’s exclusive third-party audio supplier for every NFL game.

Users will prolong to get all the necessary access to games via Sirius’ radio and SXM App, as well as SiriusXM NFL Radio which is the network’s committed NFL channel available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The SXM App features 32 channels, one for each NFL franchise, and offers official radio broadcasts for all teams.

Channels on the SXM App will also showcase each team’s pregame and postgame programming beginning with the 2022 season.

Sirius will also deliver collaborative content for all teams, including coach shows and media interviews, which users can access via the SXM App.

Brian Rolapp, Chief Media and Business Officer, NFL, said, “SiriusXM continues to be an important part of the NFL family, providing fans access to live game audio as well as all the news and information around their favourite teams in addition to SiriusXM’s great 24/7, 365 League coverage on SiriusXM NFL Radio.”

Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer at SiriusXM, commented, “The popularity of the NFL, and the passion of their fans, is extraordinary. Since 2004 the NFL has been an important component of SiriusXM’s programming lineup as we deliver those fans exceptional access to all their favourite teams.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to now be expanding our relationship with the league, ensuring our listeners will continue to get comprehensive access to the NFL.”
