Newcastle United join hands with StatsBomb

Newcastle United will integrate the elite event data and IQ company in their performance analytics sector.

The Premier League franchise, Newcastle United have partnered with the data platform, StatsBomb for the rest of the 2021/2022 season. Through this association, StatsBomb became the official data and analytics provider of the veteran club.

Through this collaboration, Newcastle United will integrate the elite event data and IQ company in their performance analytics sector to enhance their approach on player acquisition and talent search. In addition to this, the IQ platform of the technology unit will assist the club to elevate its tactical decisions by providing detailed opposition analysis.

To further benefit the team, StatsBomb’s performance data and metrics will deliver descriptive insights from numerous matches across several leagues. These insights include player positioning and pass measurements.

Shergul Arshad, the Chief Commercial Officer of StatsBomb, gave his insights on the partnership and said, “We are delighted to be working with one of the English Premier League’s proudest teams. StatsBomb has recently teamed up with several prominent franchises across various sports such as Club Brugge FC, Real Salt Lake, Everton FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

Newcastle United currently stands 17th on the Premier League leaderboard and will face West Ham United on February 19.
