New Zealand Rugby announce major global partnership with Altrad

The new contract will kick in from 2022 and the construction company will be seen replacing the long-time front of jersey sponsor AIG.

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has announced that the French building materials company Altrad will be the new front of jersey sponsor for the men’s All Blacks and women’s Black Ferns national teams.

Altrad has signed a six-year deal with the national governing body, which also includes the All Blacks Sevens, Black Ferns Sevens, Māori All Blacks, and the New Zealand U20s teams.

The new contract will kick in from 2022 and the construction company will be seen replacing the long-time front of jersey sponsor AIG.

NZR had been in the market searching for a new shirt sponsor since the start of 2020 after AIC denied to renew their deal with the NZR teams.

According to some reports, before Altrad’s involvement companies like Ineos and Amazon were linked to taking over AIG as the new jersey sponsor.

Altrad also has partnerships in place with French Rugby Federation and the company also owns French Top 14 club Montpellier Hérault Rugby.
