As the Formula 1 (F1) world looks toward the seismic shift of the 2026 technical regulations, the commercial landscape is undergoing an equally radical transformation. In the span of a single week in mid-January, five major teams, Ferrari, Alpine, Haas, Aston Martin, and the newly formed Audi factory team, announced high-profile partnerships that signal a new age of digital integration and technical synergy in the sport.
Ferrari embraces the digital frontier
Scuderia Ferrari HP led the headlines by announcing a multi-year agreement with BingX, marking the Maranello-based squad’s first-ever venture into a partnership with a cryptocurrency exchange.
The deal will see BingX integrated into Ferrari’s global digital content and fan experiences, positioning the team at the intersection of heritage racing and Web3 innovation.
Alpine and Audi solidify fintech ties
The “Fintech” trend continued with BWT Alpine F1 Team and Audi Revolut F1 Team announcing major financial partners. Alpine, which enters 2026 as a Mercedes power unit customer following the closure of the Renault engine program, has named eToro as its exclusive trading and investment partner.
Meanwhile, Audi, making its highly anticipated entry as a full factory team, has welcomed Nexo as its inaugural official digital asset partner. The multi-year deal coincides with Audi’s official debut, with Nexo co-founder Antoni Trenchev stating, “As we prepare to enter Formula 1, we are highly selective about the partners we bring on this journey. We are proud to welcome Nexo as our official digital asset partner at a moment of strong growth for both organisations. The partnership reflects a shared ambition to scale with discipline and innovation, and to create tangible value — from exclusive experiences to new ways of engaging our global fanbase and Nexo’s clients.”
The Nexo brand will be featured prominently on the Audi machines and driver helmets, providing exclusive access and digital utility to the German manufacturer’s global fanbase.
Haas rebrands with Toyota and Castore
In one of the most significant identity shifts, the newly christened TGR Haas F1 Team, reflecting its technical and title alliance with Toyota Gazoo Racing, has locked in Castore as its official kit and retail partner.
The British performance brand will design all apparel for the 2026 driver lineup of Esteban Ocon, Ollie Bearman, and F1 Academy driver Kaylee Countryman.
The deal includes specialised collections for the Japanese and United States Grand Prix, celebrating the team’s new technical leadership and American roots.
Aston Martin, bridges engineering, and fanbase
Aston Martin Aramco is taking a different route to fan engagement through a landmark licensing agreement with Meccano. Under the new “Meccano Pro” line, the partnership will produce a high-fidelity 1:8 scale model of the AMR25.
The model, featuring a functional engine and moveable DRS, is set for a global release in August 2026, offering fans a mechanical connection to the team as they transition to Honda power units.
A commercial arms race
These announcements reflect a broader “commercial arms race” within the paddock. As teams prepare for the “nimble car” concept, featuring 50% electrical power, active aerodynamics, and 100% sustainable fuels, the sponsors joining the grid are increasingly from the digital wealth, technical apparel, and high-end engineering sectors.
With the 2026 season now just over a month away, the grid is not only being rebuilt in the wind tunnels but also in the boardrooms of global technology leaders.
