A renowned sports and lifestyle brand, New Era has secured a multi-year deal with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), to become the official headwear provider for Team USA.
This prestigious partnership extends beyond the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 and Paris Paralympics 2024, encompassing the Milan-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) Games.
Throughout these prestigious events, New Era’s iconic caps will be a prominent symbol of national pride for Team USA athletes.
Todd Sokolowski, Director of Licensed Products at New Era Cap, said, “We are excited to be expanding our relationship with Team USA, reflecting not only New Era’s legacy in the American sporting scene but our brand’s global influence on fashion and culture. The honour of earning the title ‘Olympian’ or ‘Paralympian’ is a moment fit for glory, and New Era is proud to equip the inspiring U.S. team with headwear and apparel as they chase the podium in Paris.”
Peter Zeytoonjian, SVP, Consumer Products of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties (USOPP) and LA28, said, “The athletes have been waiting their entire lives for this moment and we don’t take that lightly. It is our responsibility to make the experience as special as possible with the best brands, like New Era, to help us support them achieve their dreams.”
The partnership extends beyond the Paris Games. New Era’s involvement in the LA28 Games promises a fresh, innovative take on Team USA’s official apparel, further amplifying the excitement surrounding the first Summer Olympics and Paralympics held in Los Angeles in over 30 years.
With a rich history spanning over a century, New Era has transformed from a hat company to a lifestyle brand. Its caps, including fitted, snapback, and adjustable styles, are trendy for featuring logos of major sports leagues like Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), and National Football League (NFL) teams.
Recently, New Era extended its partnerships with the McLaren F1 Team and Australian Golf. For the upcoming Olympic games, New Era has also announced a star-studded lineup of brand ambassadors, including swimmer Claire Curzan (Tokyo 2020 silver medalist), track star Shawnti Jackson, rugby player Ilona Maher, fencer Gerek Meinhardt, gymnast Fred Richard, and basketball champion Jayson Tatum (Tokyo 2020 gold medalist).
This agreement with the USOPC marks a significant milestone for both New Era Cap and Team USA. As American athletes compete on the world stage, they’ll be outfitted with high-quality, stylish apparel from New Era, reflecting their dedication and the unwavering support of the American people.
