The global lifestyle brand, New Era has partnered with the Spanish football club, FC Barcelona, to unveil an exclusive headwear collection, marking its appointment as the club’s official headwear licensee.
Based in the city’s vivid spirit, New Era combines its design skills with FC Barcelona’s cultural legacy, bringing together the club’s history, Barcelona’s creative energy, and a worldwide perspective on current style.
The renowned Barça insignia appears with the recognisable New Era flag, resulting in a range of headgear items that appeal to a new generation of style-conscious fans. From traditional silhouettes to modern fits, each item is designed to commemorate the club’s rich history while also embracing the spirit of today’s lifestyle scene.
This launch is more than simply team merchandise; it marks the convergence of two cultural institutions, each with over a century of impact in sports, fashion, and community. The designs include worldwide fashion trends while maintaining FC Barcelona’s own personality.
The association centres on a seasonal collection incorporating New Era’s distinctive designs, such as the famous 9FORTY curved visor, unstructured 9TWENTY, and snapback TRUCKER, all presented in the team’s official livery. More designs are scheduled for release later in 2025.
To commemorate the collaboration, Barça put its imprint on New Era’s classic 59FIFTY style. The traditional 6-panel design is accented with contrasting sun yellow embellishments on the visor and embroidery, as well as dramatic blue and garnet stripes. The left side has the New Era flag logo, while the right side bears FC Barcelona’s tagline, “Més que un club”. The iconic Barça crest sits front and centre, completing the appearance.
