NEC Nijmegen announces sleeve partnership deal with GGPoker

The sponsorship portfolio of the club includes KlokGroep as the main shirt sponsor for the season 2021-22 and Legea as the kit sponsor until 2022-23.

                         

NEC Nijmegen, the Dutch association football club, has unveiled a new sleeve sponsorship deal with the online poker platform GGPoker.

NEC Nijmegen is one of the participating clubs in the Dutch football league. The club from the Gelderland province in the Netherlands has emerged as one of the top clubs in the Eerste Divise, securing themselves a spot in the Eredivisie, the top division football league in the country.

GGPoker is the fastest-growing online poker site in the world and has quickly rocketed to the top tier of global poker sites. In 2020, GGPoker hosted the WSOP Online Main Event, which is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the poker tournament with the largest prize pool ever. GGPoker is also the title sponsor of the WSOP in Las Vegas and the WSOP Europe in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

Wilco van Schaik, general director at NEC, talked about the new deal in a recent press conference,

“GGPoker is a major player in the online gambling market. In just a few years, they have grown into one of the largest gambling sites in the world.We are happy to find such a party as GGPoker, because this is a new kind of partner within the football world and thus can create brand awareness together. We hope to have a great season together and to lay a stable foundation for a successful future.’’
