The basketball competitions, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) have teamed up with Fear of God, a luxury fashion brand.
The pact has enabled Fear of God to forge apparel collections surrounding the NBA and WNBA and their respective teams. Fanatics, the two leagues’ official e-commerce partner, will feature the collection.
The men’s basketball competition’s physical stores will consist of Fear of God’s NBA collection along with the clothing brand’s retail touchpoints.
The initial collaboration features the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky and New York Liberty collection along with the official NBA/WNBA logos as well. The hoodie will entail the logo of the NBA/WNBA along with the team’s wording on stone grey FOG blank and a team colour-specific hood.
A sports team and a fashion brand collaboration is a decades-long trend and Fear of God has joined the bandwagon with this pact.
