Myntra looks to tap new customers by partnering with CSK

Flipkart-owned fashion e-commerce platform Myntra, has partnered with three-times Indian Premier League Champions franchise, Chennai Super Kings for the ongoing IPL 2020 season. The partnership will see the brand as the Official e-commerce and fashion partner of the team.

With this step, Myntra is looking to tap into CSK’s fans to strengthen its customer base across the country. The online platform will also sell exclusive CSK merchandise on its platform. Moreover, the brand will also hold fan engagement contests to interact with fans and allow them with a chance to win signed team merchandise.

Partnering with a team of this scale gives Myntra direct access to CSK’s loyal fan base and nation-wide visibility. The brand will also get access towards usage of team’s logo, player images and other Intellectual properties of the teams, which can be used by the brand for its promotional purposes.

Besides, Myntra has also signed sponsorship deal with IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore as their official sponsor as well as e-commerce partners for the ongoing season. Partnering with two south teams indicates Myntra’s objective of targeting the southern Indian market.
