myco obtains streaming rights for PSL in MENA region

By participating in the innovative "watch and earn" mechanism, viewers can earn rewards for the time they spend watching the matches.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced a new streaming rights agreement with the prominent entertainment and sports streaming platform, myco. The ongoing season of the highly watched Pakistani league will be streamed live in high definition through criclife 2 i.e. myco’s Web 3 streaming platform in the MENA region.

By participating in the innovative “watch and earn” mechanism, viewers can earn rewards for the time they spend watching the matches. A total of $50,000 will be shared among HBL PSL Season 8 on myco viewers. Through myco or the app, users can watch the matches live.

Umair Masoom, founder and managing partner at myco, commented, “We are excited to offer the PSL matches on our Web 3 streaming platform in the MENA region. Our viewers will enjoy the high-quality streaming experience and the chance to earn rewards while watching the matches.”

The strategic entry into sports that myco is making includes more than just acquiring the streaming rights to cricket leagues like the PSL. Quetta Gladiators, one of the top PSL teams, and the company recently announced their collaboration, making it the first Web3 company to ever sponsor a PSL franchise.

Furthermore, myco is developing an original project, which will feature the Quetta Gladiators’ stars and founders, and will be directed by Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Mo Ali. It will provide fans with a fascinating look into the team’s fascinating past and promising future.

Nadeem Omar, Owner of the Quetta Gladiators, said, “We are delighted to partner with a visionary company like myco. As a leading team in the PSL, we are always looking for ways to innovate and engage with our fans. We look forward to seeing what the future holds with myco as our partner.”

myco has swiftly established itself as a leading platform in the area thanks to its emphasis on user engagement and use of Web 3 technologies. The company enjoyed great success in December 2022 when it secured the exclusive rights to telecast the India tour of Bangladesh 2022 series and gave viewers prizes totalling more than $26,000 USD.

The PSL’s inclusion on myco’s Web 3 streaming platform marks a significant advancement in the company’s attempts to provide fans with cutting-edge and compelling sports programming. A well-liked aspect of the platform is myco’s “watch and earn” system, which lets users earn prizes for the time they spend watching matches.
