Muthoot FinCorp launches ad campaign featuring Virat Kohli as lead character

For the third year in a row, Muthoot FinCorp has partnered with RCB as the team's title sponsor.

One of India’s leading non-banking financial companies and the flagship entity of the Muthoot Pappachan Group, Muthoot FinCorp has released the ‘Mera Gold Loan, Mera Interest’ advertisement campaign in collaboration with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman, Virat Kohli.

Kohli appears in three Television Commercials (TVC) alongside other RCB players in three different avatars.

Muthoot FinCorp, an important organisation in the Indian business landscape, pioneered a novel concept in which customers can choose the interest rate on their gold loan.

The right-handed batsman who is known for his witty sense of humour both on and off the field, yet again took fans by storm with his new humourous avatars in the TVC alongside his colleagues Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, and Finn Allen, all of whom emphasized the importance of the scheme in the life of a common man.

Kohli played the roles of a teacher, umpire, and doctor in three different fun-filled scenarios in multi-lingual TV commercials, with the former RCB captain explicitly appealing with the line ‘Mera gold loan, mera interest. Apni interest rate ab khud chuno’.

For the third year in a row, Muthoot FinCorp has partnered with the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the team’s title sponsor.

The campaign struck a chord with customers with its main message that they have the ability to choose their own interest rate. In one of the most recent videos, Kohli was seen in a teacher’s character surprising student Siraj by offering him various rewards for doing well in class.

In the other yet-to-be-released videos, Kohli will be seen in the character of a doctor, inquiring the Kiwi cricketer Allen about incentives such as doughnuts, pizza, burgers, and pastries for staying fit, while in the role of an umpire, he asks batsman Karthik his preferred length of delivery as Siraj looked shocked.

The corporation, which has over 3500-plus branches and over 30000 employees serving over five million customers across the country, had previously enabled customers to accommodate Blue Soch in order to thrive in their lives. During the pandemic, when the common man was faced with unexpected challenges and was stuck in life without any concrete movement ahead, Muthoot Fincorp urged people to think differently and adopt a positive attitude in life, affectionately known as the ‘Blue Soch.’

Thomas George Muthoot, Director, Muthoot FinCorp Limited, said, “Muthoot FinCorp, has always been the pioneer in bringing out innovative campaign thoughts aimed at helping the common man to improve their financial well-being. As the pandemic has subsided to a relatively low level and businesses are inching back to normal, we are launching a special scheme ‘Mera Gold Loan, Mera Interest’. This would help them to plan their finances better and would help them improve their livelihood.”

On the field, the Bangalore-based team is doing extremely well and is looking good to qualify for playoffs. The team next takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 23 at the Brabourne stadium.
