MI ropes in Cadbury as Official sponsor

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians, has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with global brand Cadbury, making it their Official Sponsor. Cadbury Dairy Milk logo will be seen sported on the non-lead trouser of the team playing kit.

As per the terms of the association, the brand will have exclusive access towards the usage of team logo, player images, virtual meet and greets with players and other Intellectual Properties of the team, which the brand can use for their promotional activities and campaigns during the IPL season. With fans not been allowed inside the stadiums, it will be interesting to see how Cadbury will use this association for their marketing purposes in this festive season.

Cadbury Dairy Milk has come on-board in a multi-year deal, replacing Burger King for the jersey position.

This year, MI have added global brands like Marriott Bonvoy, Colgate, Cadbury Dairy Milk and William Lawson for multi-year deals to its sponsorship portfolio, while continuing its association with brands like Samsung, Usha, Colors and Jio.

The strong mix of International and Indian brands like Dream11, Kingfisher, boAt and Kotak have allowed them  to match the last years’ sponsorship revenues. The total sponsorship income of Mumbai Indians for this season is projected to be around ₹95-100cr.

Dream11 IPL 2020 will start off with the first match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on 19th September.
