Mumbai Indians, DHL prolong partnership for third consecutive year

Following the extension, DHL will continue to be the principal sponsor and logistics partner of MI for IPL 2023.

The five-time winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) have extended their partnership with the multinational logistic brand, DHL.

Following the extension, DHL will continue to be the principal sponsor and logistics partner of MI for IPL 2023. The initial partnership between the two parties involved was formed before IPL 2021. In addition, the company’s logo will be featured on the back of the MI training and playing jersey.

The Mumbai-based unit announced this extension through its social media platforms.

DHL is an American-founded German logistic company that was established in 1969 in San Francisco and is currently headquartered in Bonn, Germany. The entity provides courier package delivery and express mail service, delivering over 1.8 billion parcels per year. A subsidiary of Deutsche Post, its express mail service, DHL Express, is one of the market leaders for parcel services in Europe.

Prior to this development, MI already onboarded companies such as IDFC First Bank and EUME as commercial partners.

The Rohit Sharma-led team had a very catastrophic season last year, as they won only four matches out of 14, and finished last on the points table. This time around, they will be focusing on turning the fortunes in their favour and lifting the title for the sixth time. MI will be starting their IPL 2023 campaign on April 2 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru.
