The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Mumbai Indians (MI) have announced a new sponsorship association with the Indian OTT streaming service, JioCinema.
In this agreement, the brand has been labelled as the official partner of the five-time champions for IPL 2023.
On September 5, 2016, Viacom18 debuted JioCinema, an Indian OTT streaming service. JioCinema provides its users access to a vast library of films, web series, and sports in various genres and languages.
Recently, JioCinema also signed Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suryakumar Yadav as brand ambassadors to encourage people to watch IPL on the streaming network.
Along with JioCinema, the Mumbai-based team also partnered with Dream11, USHA International, DHL, IDFC FIRST Bank, EUME, Jio and Astral Pipes. The Rohit Sharma-led team is set to begin its IPL 2023 campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.
