Mumbai City FC gets Expo 2020 Dubai on board as Principal Partner

Expo 2020 Dubai will feature on the fronts of the ISL 2021/22 defending champions.

The defending champions of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), Mumbai City FC have announced a new global deal with Expo 2020 Dubai for the 2021-22 season. This deal will make the first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region the main partner of the islanders.

As part of the deal, Expo 2020 Dubai will feature on the fronts of Mumbai City FC during their domestic and Asian campaigns in the Indian Super League and AFC Champions League.

The ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai that will end on March 31, 2022, brings people and societies together. With the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, World Expo is likely to welcome 191 countries and millions of people around the world to inspire action and provide real solutions for life challenges.

Mumbai City, through this deal, will be able to bind knowledge from world-leading initiatives to grow on its values of innovation, sustainability and driving social change through football. 

Shimmering the global nature of Expo 2020 and its members, as well as the diverse, multicultural population of the UAE, the link-up will feature local initiations at the World Expo with Islanders amongst a host of proceedings from stages across the world.

Mumbai City will begin their upcoming ISL campaign against FC Goa on 22nd November in a biosecure bubble at Fatorda Stadium, Goa.
