Formula 1 and The MSC Cruise Division have announced a significant extension of their highly successful global partnership, solidifying their collaboration until the end of the 2030 season.

This early renewal, unveiled at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, highlights the powerful synergy between the two global leaders, both driven by a shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and delivering unparalleled entertainment experiences.

The expanded agreement guarantees the continuation of existing rights that have become central to the partnership, including prominent title sponsorships of several Grand Prix races. For the 2025 season, MSC Cruises will proudly serve as the title sponsor for:

  1. The Formula 1 MSC Cruises Austrian Grand Prix in June
  2. The Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix in October
  3. The highly anticipated Formula 1 MSC Cruises Grande Prêmio de São Paulo in November

Beyond these title sponsorships, fans can expect continued widespread trackside branding and exclusive hospitality activations at events worldwide, enhancing the race-day experience.

A new and exciting dimension to the partnership sees the increased involvement of Explora Journeys, MSC Cruises’ luxury sister brand. Explora Journeys will feature across signage packages at select Grands Prix, bringing its ethos of sophisticated ocean travel to the thrilling world of F1.

A standout feature of this enhanced collaboration is the innovative “floating boutique hotel” concept. During the recent FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2025, EXPLORA II, the newest vessel in the Explora Journeys fleet, was majestically docked in Port Hercule. This unique initiative provided guests with an unrivaled vantage point to witness the legendary street race, complemented by exclusive onboard events and luxury hospitality. This “track-to-ship” experience is set to redefine premium Grand Prix attendance for years to come.

Both F1 and MSC leadership expressed their enthusiasm for the deepened partnership.

Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1, said, “The early extension of our partnership is a symbol of the strength of the relationship between our two organisations who share a passion for innovation, entertainment, travel and incredible experiences. This weekend in Monaco, we will take our partnership to the next level with EXPLORA II in Port Hercule, placing Explora Journeys at the centre of one of the most iconic races on the calendar.

“I would like to extend a huge thank you to Pierfrancesco Vago and the team at The MSC Cruise Division for their passion and commitment to our partnership that continues to grow and bring both our brands to a growing global audience. I look forward to working together for many years to come.”

Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of The MSC Cruise Division, added, “Over the last three years, our partnership with Formula 1 has gone from strength to strength. This season sees MSC Cruises as title sponsor of three Grand Prix races, and Explora Journeys is hosting fans on board EXPLORA II in Monaco offering arguably one of the best positions for any race fan this weekend.

“Our partnership is founded on a shared dedication to excellence, innovation, and teamwork, building the future of our industries to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. Today we are proud to announce that we are extending our agreement as Global Partner of Formula 1 until the end of the 2030 season meaning that fans can experience more from MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys on track and beyond for many more seasons to come.”

Beyond the global F1 partnership, MSC Cruises has also fortified its commitment to motorsport by becoming a Premium Partner of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team for 2025 and beyond. This collaboration will see MSC Cruises’ branding prominently displayed on the 2025 Alpine car, the A525, further integrating the cruise line into the heart of Formula 1.

With this renewed and expanded partnership, F1 and The MSC Cruise Division are poised to deliver an even more spectacular blend of high-octane racing and luxurious travel, captivating a growing global audience and setting new benchmarks for sports and entertainment collaborations. This partnership further solidifies F1’s position as a premier platform for brands seeking to engage a highly engaged and affluent global audience, joining a distinguished roster of partners including PwC, DisneyBelvedere Vodka, Allwyn, BarillaALT Sports DataTag HeuerLouis Vuitton, and Moët Hennessy.
