MS Dhoni unveils Garuda Aerospace’s drone camera ‘Droni’

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian cricket team captain, has introduced a quadcopter consumer camera drone called ‘Droni.’ Garuda Aerospace, of which MS Dhoni is the brand ambassador, manufactures the made-in-India camera drone with advanced tools.

Garuda Aerospace designed and built Droni. As per Agnishwar Jayaprakash, the corporation’s founder and CEO, the device will be in the marketplace by the end of 2022.

The occasion in Chennai also saw the introduction of a new ‘Kisan Drone’ geared at the agriculture industry, specifically spraying applications. This battery-powered drone is competent in spraying agricultural pesticides in more than a 30-acre area per day.

Dhoni said at the event that he became interested in agriculture during the Covid-19 lockdown. He emphasised the importance of drones for farmers.

President, Indian Drone Association and Former Wing Commander, the Indian Airforce, Anand Kumar Das, said, “I am extremely delighted to serve on a platform where industry stakeholders connect to gain insights about the drone industry and happy to organize the Global Drone Expo with Garuda Aerospace. This platform will play a significant role in promoting the drone industry and foster growth.”
