EMotorad, a Pune-based electric vehicle (EV) startup focused on e-cycles, has unveiled its fourth advertisement featuring its brand ambassador and former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, this time in a fresh-new coach avatar.
The initiative addresses parents directly, pushing them to choose safer, more sustainable, and convenient e-cycles for their children’s everyday commutes.
The newly released film portrays Dhoni as a no-nonsense, approachable coach who guides parents through the need for safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective transport alternatives for GenNext children, whether it’s for school, tuition, or extracurricular activities. The tale combines EMotorad’s brand idea of e-cycles designed for every journey with an urgent and personal plea to urban families to reconsider how their children commute.
On the development, MS Dhoni said, “As a father, I want the best for my daughter, safety, independence, and a sustainable future. With EMotorad, I’m confident that we’re making the right choice for their commutes, and for the environment they’ll inherit.”
According to data from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, more than 10,000 kids perished in traffic accidents in 2023. EMotorad claims that controlled-speed, app-enabled e-cycles can help avoid such hazards while instilling long-term commuting habits in children. A single EMotorad e-cycle used for a daily 10-kilometer journey may save over 300 litres of fuel and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 700 kg per user per year, providing both environmental and economic advantages to families.
Kunal Gupta, Co-founder & CEO of EMotorad, said, “With this campaign, we’re speaking to parents as much as we are to the next generation of riders. Parents want their children to have independence, but also safety, affordability, and sustainability. Dhoni’s trusted voice brings that balance to life, helping families see that EMotorad isn’t just a cycle, it’s a smarter mobility decision for their child’s future.”
This fourth partnership with Dhoni represents a change in EMotorad’s storyline. While the first three marketing videos emphasised performance, variety, and lifestyle appeal, the most recent installment focusses on everyday convenience and parental reassurance. It validates EMotorad’s growing footprint in more than 250 Indian cities, as well as its planned 60% YoY growth in FY 2026, driven by urban mobility demand and product innovation.
