MS Dhoni remains one of the sought-after Indian cricketers among advertisers

Even after three years of his international retirement, MS Dhoni has sustained his popularity among renowned Indian brands.

One of the greatest captains of all time, Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues his sublime form not on the cricket pitch but on the commercial pitch.

Even after three years of his international retirement, MS Dhoni has sustained his popularity among renowned Indian brands. Apart from his accomplishments in the sport at different levels, his demeanour on and off the field has made him one of the most desirable sportspersons among cricket enthusiasts and brands. MSD’s calm and composed behaviour has nurtured some of his best decisions in the game and that has been a catalyst for his superstardom.

Since June 2022, Dhoni has been signed as a brand ambassador by Garuda Aerospace, Fire-Boltt, Navi, G Square Housing, and MYK LATICRETE.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper just plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) throughout the year and majorly stays off social media. Unlike other sportspersons, MSD doesn’t promote brands which he endorses on his social media handles yet he manages to acquire multiple brand deals. Apart from the endorsement deals, the former Indian wicketkeeper has also been busy with ad campaigns. Dhoni has been featured in campaigns for multiple brands – Turtlemint, Oreo, Unacademy, Cars24, Kinley, Bharat Matrimony, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Zed Black Agarbatti, and Gulf Oil.

In the midst of all these developments, MSD also unveiled Garuda Aerospace’s drone camera named Droni. Along with being an endorser, he is also a shareholder in the company. Yet another brand, which is backed by MSD, named Copter7 was launched in Chennai. Copter7 is a beer brand inspired by Dhoni’s helicopter shot and jersey number 7. The firm was launched by 7Ink Brews.

Dhoni will be seen next in action in the IPL 2023, where he will be able to play at Chepauk with a sold-out stadium for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The captain cool will look to lay his hands on the prestigious IPL cup one more time in the upcoming season, which could possibly be his last season of donning the yellow jersey.
