MS Dhoni Cricket Academy signs deal with Kricket Spero

MS Dhoni Cricket Academy (MSDCA) signs a strategic deal with Dubai based Cricket training academy, Kricket Spero. The academy will commence its training operations in December 2020, and the registrations are now open for players from across the globe. Kricket’s Spero Academy was established in 2015. Along with top quality training facility, the academy is equipped with ICC certified coaches for both boys and girls enrolled from age 5 to 19 years.

Meanwhile, MSDCA is run by Aarka Sports Private Limited, a company that also manages the former India captain. Dhoni is not directly involved with operations of the academy, but he does have a stake in it and plays an advisory role. The coaching programme has been named The Dhoni Way, based on inputs from the legendary player.

A few weeks earlier, MSDCA launched a High-Performance Centre in Chennai at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. The alliance is between MS Dhoni Cricket Academy and Centre for Sports Science. Former South Africa batsman, Daryll Cullinan the director of coaching of the centre.

Mr. Mohamed Ismail, MD of Kricket’s Spero Academy, said, “We are excited to be associated with M.S.Dhoni Cricket Academy. We are committed to bringing the best cricket opportunities to our children here in UAE. We believe that their training program brings a lot of discipline and practical grooming. As an added benefit, children can also continue their membership at MSDCA centers in India while relocating.”

While commenting on the association with Kricket Spero, Darryl Cullinan said, “We aspire to be the world leader in developing a new generation of players and coaches, fully equipped technically, physically, and mentally to meet the demands of all formats of the game, through the core values adopted by M.S. Dhoni or as we call it THE DHONI WAY.”
