Motul to continue as official lubricant of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a landmark five-year renewal

Since 2016, Motul has served as the 24 Hours of Le Mans' official lubricant partner.

Motul, a French business that manufactures high-performance motor oils, has renewed its cooperation with the FIA, the governing body of motor racing’s World Endurance Championship (WEC), and the ACO, which organises the renowned annual 24 Hours of Le Mans event.

In this five-year deal, Motul will remain the official lubricant of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, its motorcycle equivalent, the 24H Motos (also organised by the ACO), and the WEC (of which the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a part).

The arrangement was announced ahead of the race’s 2024 edition, which was held in France over the last weekend.

Since 2016, Motul has served as the 24 Hours of Le Mans’ official lubricant partner. Furthermore, in 2022, the agreement was strengthened when Motul acquired title sponsorship of a specific corner of the circuit.

Notably, in addition to maintaining the naming agreement for the corner, Motul will continue to have its branding present at the fan zone, pit crews, grid team, and around the track and event at Le Mans.

ACO President, Pierre Fillon, said, “I’m very happy to be renewing our partnership with Motul, a loyal partner and an expert in its field. In one of the most exciting eras of endurance racing, I’m delighted that this key partnership for the l’Automobile Club de l’Ouest will continue.”

With a significant following in the motorsports sector, Motul is closely associated with several other elite championships in the sport, such as the FIM Superbike World Championship, or WorldSBK, for which it serves as title sponsor.
