MotoGP has partnered with Accenture to develop a next-generation direct-to-fan streaming platform, marking a significant step in the championship’s efforts to build a more personalised, interactive and data-driven digital relationship with its global audience.
The new platform is expected to launch ahead of the 2027 season and will be built using Accenture Media Engage, bringing MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and WorldSBK onto a unified technology architecture. The platform will allow MotoGP to create differentiated digital experiences across markets while maintaining a common technological foundation.
Fan experience will be central to the transformation. The new service is expected to offer customisable race coverage, multi-camera viewing and live sports data integrated into the streaming experience, while future developments will explore more immersive ways for audiences to consume and interact with the sport.
The partnership also places greater emphasis on personalisation and audience insight. By connecting content, engagement and data within a single platform, MotoGP aims to better understand fan behaviour and continually refine its direct-to-consumer proposition. The model could also create new opportunities around subscriptions, content, advertising and other forms of digital monetisation.
MotoGP will work with Accenture and its wider technology ecosystem, including AWS, to explore new approaches to content consumption, fan engagement and connectivity at circuits.
Gorka Llort Igal, Digital Business Director of MotoGP Group, said, “MotoGP has always been defined by innovation, pushing the limits of what’s possible both on and off the track. As we continue to grow our global audience, we’re focused on creating a direct-to-fan experience that matches the excitement, emotion and intensity of the world’s most exciting sport. Through our collaboration with Accenture, we’re building a platform that will bring fans closer to the action than ever before, with more personalisation, deeper insights, greater interactivity and richer content.”
John Peters, Global Media & Entertainment Lead at Accenture, added, “MotoGP has a clear vision for how it wants to evolve its direct-to-fan experience and create new sources of value around the sport. As sports organisations build deeper, more direct relationships with fans, the opportunity lies in bringing together audience engagement, content and monetisation on a connected platform that can continually evolve with changing fan expectations. By combining MotoGP’s deep understanding of its fans and the sport with Accenture’s Media Engage platform and experience building and operating media platforms at scale, we can help create the foundation for the next generation of direct-to-fan experiences.”
The agreement adds to Accenture’s expanding sports portfolio. The company has worked with Salford City FC on its global growth ambitions, supported the WTA’s digital transformation, partnered with MI New York on growth and innovation, and entered a five-year partnership with the NFL.
For MotoGP, the partnership represents more than a streaming upgrade. It reflects the championship’s broader push towards owning more of the fan relationship, strengthening its first-party data capabilities and creating a digital platform that can support future commercial growth.
