MotoGP Group has secured a major governance and commercial milestone after all 11 teams on the premier-class grid signed participation agreements for the 2027–2031 MotoGP World Championship cycle, completing the framework for the sport’s next era ahead of sweeping technical and sporting reforms.
The five-year agreements provide long-term certainty for the championship’s competitive structure and follow last week’s announcement that all five manufacturers—Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM and Yamaha—had also committed to the same period. Collectively, the agreements ensure every current manufacturer and team will remain part of MotoGP through the end of the 2031 season, providing a stable platform for investment, commercial growth and global expansion.
The teams signing the agreements are Aprilia Racing, BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP, Ducati Lenovo Team, Honda HRC Castrol, LCR Honda, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Red Bull KTM Tech3 and Superfile Trackhouse MotoGP Team.

The agreements coincide with MotoGP’s most significant regulatory overhaul in more than a decade. Beginning in 2027, the championship will introduce new technical regulations centred on 850cc engines, alongside broader sustainability initiatives and revised sporting rules aimed at enhancing safety, improving competition and supporting the sport’s long-term development.
From a business perspective, the agreements provide greater certainty for teams, manufacturers, broadcasters, race promoters and commercial partners by locking in the championship’s competitive ecosystem through 2031. They also establish the governance framework that will underpin MotoGP’s next phase of commercial growth, as the series looks to capitalise on new sponsorship opportunities following the recent appointment of CAA Sports as its exclusive global sponsorship agency.
With every current manufacturer and team now committed before the new regulations come into force, MotoGP enters its next chapter with an unprecedented level of long-term stability, positioning the championship to accelerate its sporting ambitions while strengthening its commercial appeal on the global stage.
