The Hundred has secured a significant commercial partnership with digital banking leader Monzo, naming the UK fintech company as its official banking partner in a deal that further strengthens the competition’s sponsorship portfolio ahead of a new chapter for the tournament.
The agreement marks Monzo’s first major investment in cricket and brings together one of the United Kingdom’s fastest-growing financial institutions with one of the country’s most innovative sports properties. As The Hundred prepares for its next phase of development, the partnership is expected to enhance fan engagement while providing Monzo with extensive visibility across the competition’s broadcast, digital and live-event platforms.
Under the agreement, Monzo will receive prominent branding rights throughout the tournament, including sponsorship of the Decision Review System (DRS), one of the most visible assets during live match broadcasts. The digital bank will also benefit from branding across all eight Hundred venues and will activate fan engagement initiatives at key fixtures throughout the season, including the Eliminator and Final.
The partnership is set to expand further from 2027, when Monzo becomes the presenting partner of The Hundred Player Auction. The event has quickly emerged as one of the competition’s most valuable commercial properties, generating significant interest from fans, broadcasters and stakeholders across the cricket ecosystem.
Charlotte Ford, Senior Director of Brand, Content & Partnerships at Monzo, said, “We’re excited to become the Official Banking Partner of The Hundred for the start of the competition’s new era. Monzo is proud to feature alongside the world’s leading cricketers and to join the competition’s broad and passionate fanbase. We can’t wait to introduce the magic of Monzo to the heart of The Hundred.”
Ben Bradley, Head of Commercial Partnerships, The Hundred, added, “We’re delighted to welcome Monzo to The Hundred, a competition built to throw cricket’s doors open and make the game feel more accessible, inclusive and relevant to more people.
“Monzo is a brand that has challenged convention in its own sector, with a strong connection to modern, digitally engaged audiences, so there is a natural alignment with The Hundred. We’re excited to work together to bring fresh energy to the matchday experience and help take cricket to new and diverse fans across England and Wales this summer.”
With more than 15 million customers, Monzo’s arrival adds another major consumer brand to The Hundred’s commercial roster. The deal also underlines the competition’s growing appeal among non-endemic sponsors seeking access to younger, digitally connected audiences, reinforcing The Hundred’s position as one of the UK’s most attractive sports marketing platforms.
