In a major play for motocross dominance, Monster Energy has inked a five-year extension to remain the title sponsor of the AMA Supercross Championship through the 2030 season — while also signing on as the first-ever title sponsor of the SuperMotocross (SMX) World Championship, starting in 2026.

The landmark deal cements Monster’s role as a powerhouse in professional motocross, expanding on a relationship that began in 2007 and has become one of the sport’s most enduring sponsorships.

The extended partnership not only reinforces Monster’s branding across the Supercross winter slate and the Motocross summer series but also grants it a marquee presence in the fast-rising SMX World Championship — a unified, season-long platform launched to bridge the gap between the two premier disciplines.

The SMX format, which blends 17 AMA Supercross races, 11 Pro Motocross rounds, and three high-stakes SMX playoff events, has quickly gained traction as the future of motocross. The 31-race calendar culminates in a championship finale, offering fans and sponsors year-round engagement with unprecedented continuity.

According to sources, the multi-year agreement is valued in the mid-eight figures and grants Monster Energy sweeping rights across broadcast, digital, merchandise, on-site branding, and experiential marketing. Signature elements such as Monster’s FanFest experiences — which include VR simulators, athlete appearances, and product giveaways — will remain a centrepiece at race weekends. The brand will also continue its fan-favourite can-recycling entry program, merging sustainability with access.

In 2025, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship attracted over 828,000 fans across 17 events, with more than 329,000 attending FanFest activations. Digitally, the sport is booming — eight of the ten most-streamed Supercross races in Peacock’s history aired this season, signalling strong traction among younger viewers.

Come 2026, Monster’s new role as the title sponsor of the SMX World Championship will bring elevated naming rights, broadcast integrations, and prominent branding across all digital and physical touchpoints. It’s a move that positions Monster to tap into new retail, licensing, and product innovation channels — all anchored to a global motocross property built for scale.

With this expanded partnership, Monster Energy deepens its stake in the future of powersports — aligning its brand with a new era of unified competition, immersive experiences, and fan-first innovation.
