Moeve, the energy company formerly known as Cepsa, has announced a landmark multi-year sponsorship agreement with Spain’s top professional football leagues, LALIGA and Liga F.
The expansive deal has positioned Moeve as the title sponsor of the leading women’s division, now officially renamed Liga F Moeve, and a key partner across all major Spanish professional football competitions.
The agreement, which commenced with the ongoing 2024-2025 season and is set to run through the 2027-2028 season, marks a significant moment as Moeve becomes the first single company to hold sponsorship rights across Liga F, LALIGA EA SPORTS (first division men’s), LALIGA HYPERMOTION (second division men’s), LALIGA GENUINE, and FC FUTURE.
The title sponsorship of Liga F is a pivotal development for women’s football in Spain, providing a substantial boost to its financial stability and supporting its continued growth and professionalisation.
Beyond the naming rights for Liga F, Moeve will have a prominent presence as a partner of LALIGA, the organising body for the men’s professional leagues. This partnership guarantees extensive brand visibility for Moeve across various platforms, including digital channels, in-stadium LED advertising and other placements, during sports broadcasts covering over 1,000 matches annually, and across the social media channels of both leagues.
The collaboration is founded on a set of shared values, including teamwork, perseverance, equality, and sustainability. In a concrete demonstration of this commitment, Moeve and LALIGA will jointly establish an environmental sustainability technical office. This initiative aims to support clubs across the sponsored leagues in implementing sustainable practices, with a focus on crucial areas such as low-emission mobility and energy efficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, Javier Tebas, LaLiga President, said, “This agreement marks a pivotal step into the future of sport, where technology and social responsibility converge to offer an enhanced experience for our fans and a positive impact on society.”
Beatriz Álvarez, Tebas’ counterpart at Liga F, added, “This strategic alliance strengthens and ensures the growth, professionalization, and social impact of women’s football in Spain, further demonstrating the trust that major brands place in the potential of our competition … This partnership will drive the continued growth of a stronger and more visible league, one that serves as a reference for future generations.”
The comprehensive partnership also includes various activation opportunities designed to engage fans, employees, customers, and partners. These include access to tickets, collaborations with players and teams, merchandising opportunities, and exclusive experiences.
This far-reaching agreement underscores Moeve’s strategic commitment to supporting the world of sport and enhancing its brand visibility through the immense reach and passion of Spanish football. Simultaneously, it reinforces the leagues’ dedication to growth, innovation, and social responsibility, particularly in the rapidly developing landscape of women’s football.
