MLW extends broadcast deal with Bein Sports

Major League Wrestling (MLW) has renewed the broadcast deal with beIN SPORTS for airing rights in the USA.

The broadcast partnership agreement includes broadcast rights for MLW’s weekly series, Major League Wrestling: FUSION. This deal is the first of many deals in the pipeline for MLW as they are focussing on expanding content offerings to linear and non-linear broadcasters.

Court Bauer, CEO of MLW, said, “We are excited to continue to be a cornerstone of beIN SPORTS’ portfolio of world-class sports content. The linear cable world is shifting and only news, live events, and sports will be left standing. MLW is focused on its value in this space as well as in the non-linear streaming realm. This deal and other ongoing conversations reflect our goal to be a versatile sports league that is plug and play for our partners on cable and streaming.”

Bein Sports has been home to Major Wrestling since 2018. The new season of Fusion is set to premiere this fall, kicking off a series of live events under the Restart initiative.

The wrestling league was suspended indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year.
