Mkers, Dolce & Gabbana announce a joint venture

Mkers will be a part of this new project entitled 'gooDGame'.

The fashion brand, Dolce & Gabbana has announced a joint venture with Mkers, an Italian e-sports association.

Mkers is an Italy-based e-sports organization, which was founded in 2017. Mkers also previously had an Overwatch League team.

Mkers will be a part of this new project entitled ‘gooDGame,’ which uses upper case letters to allude to the brand’s acronyms. The initiative would result in an eight-episode documentary series depicting the stories of four separate squads of characters from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

The series will foster an interchange interaction between organizations and the players engaged, rather than only concentrating on the regular routine of organizations in gaming houses and the obstacles of a professional e-sports player. Players will be switched across organizations, with their commonalities serving as the show’s key driving force.

The Dolce & Gabbana brand will be featured all through the eight episodes, as well as a limited edition collection geared towards gamers will be launched.

Thomas De Gasperi, President of Mkers, said, “The collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana is the consecration of a path that Mkers has been pursuing for five years, promoting the values of exclusivity and style in the esports sector. The operation we have built is unique in its kind and will strengthen the internationalisation process which represents a further evolutionary step for us.”

The transaction was finalized just days after the Italian fashion house made e-sports news by partnering with FACEIT to develop the Gucci Gaming Academy.
