The European football giants, Real Madrid CF, have unveiled a new global sponsorship with German family-owned company Melitta Group, naming the heritage coffee brand as the club’s official coffee partner for the next five years.
As part of the deal, Melitta will integrate its products across Real Madrid’s ecosystem, including the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Ciudad Real Madrid training complex, and club offices. More than 200 premium coffee machines will be installed, featuring around 60 Melitta XT6 fully automatic units and 150 Barista TS Smart bean-to-cup models, catering to both general fans and VIP hospitality areas.
The partnership extends across the men’s and women’s first teams and provides Melitta with extensive visibility through in-stadium branding, digital activations, and access to Real Madrid’s global media platforms.
Commenting on the occasion, Jero Bentz, Board Member and Great-Grandson of the company’s Gounder, Melitta Bentz, said, “We are delighted with this partnership with Real Madrid, a club with a unique success story and global appeal.”
Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, added, “We are very excited to be working with the Melitta Group. In them, we have found a solid partner that shares our values of excellence, quality, and passion.”
The deal follows Melitta’s eight-year partnership with Manchester United and builds on its active sponsorship portfolio, which includes German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Arminia Bielefeld. The collaboration underscores Melitta’s strategy of using football’s global stage to strengthen its presence in key international markets.
For Real Madrid, the tie-up adds another major lifestyle brand to its commercial roster, reinforcing the club’s position as one of the most marketable properties in world sport.
On the pitch, Los Blancos have begun the new season in perfect form, winning their opening three league matches to sit top of the table. They face Real Sociedad on September 13 before opening their UEFA Champions League campaign against Olympique de Marseille on September 17.
