Mediacorp acquires Tokyo Paralympics 2020 media rights in Singapore

As part of the deal, Mediacorp will be streaming the opening ceremony that will be conducted on the 24th of August, the closing ceremony of the event that is scheduled to be held on the 5th of September.

Mediacorp, Singapore’s state-owned broadcaster have acquired the media rights deal to stream the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 in Singapore from the Singapore-based marketing agency Reddentes Sports.

As part of the deal, Mediacorp will be streaming the opening ceremony that will be conducted on the 24th of August, the closing ceremony of the event that is scheduled to be held on the 5th of September.

Along with this Mediacorp will also stream the coverage of events are concern Team Singapore and highlights that will be provided daily for the event’s rest of the games.

Mediacorp will be covering the events on Channel 5 which is free to air, their YouTube channel and on meWatch which is their streaming platform, with this deal Mediacorp will be streaming both the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics 2020 through this deal and a deal they signed with Dentsu Agency back in 2019 to stream the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in Singapore.

MediaCorp’s deal to stream the Paralympics in Singapore is another step in the right direction for Mediacorp as they promote equality for the specially-abled athletes who will be competing in the Paralympics being a source of inspiration for many similar people in the world.

The Olympics which start from the 23rd of July and the Paralympics which start from the 24th of August both are anticipated to be huge events catching the eyes of every sports fan in the world.
