McLaren Racing has confirmed a new multi-year partnership with Rubrik, strengthening the team’s approach to cybersecurity and data resilience as digital infrastructure becomes increasingly central to performance and operations across global motorsport.
Under the agreement, Rubrik has joined McLaren Racing as an official partner, supporting the organisation’s expanding use of data, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics across its racing programmes and wider business functions.
The partnership will focus on securing McLaren Racing’s hybrid and cloud-based environments, protecting sensitive intellectual property, and enhancing cyber recovery capabilities. With modern racing operations generating and transmitting vast volumes of data between factories, trackside teams, and cloud systems, cybersecurity has become a critical operational pillar rather than a back-office function.
Rubrik’s technology is designed to help organisations secure data, recover quickly from cyber incidents, and maintain continuity in high-pressure environments. For McLaren Racing, this includes safeguarding race strategy platforms, simulation and car development systems, and core business operations that underpin performance both on and off the track.
Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing, said, “We operate in one of the most data‑driven sports in the world. Data integrity is a competitive advantage, and we partner with organisations that match our standards for speed, high performance and reliability. Rubrik shares that mindset. Together, we’re focused on strengthening the technological resilience that underpins performance across our racing programmes.”
Bipul Sinha, CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder, Rubrik, added, “In a sport where champions can be determined by milliseconds, teams must have the most resilient technology, with data that is always available. We excel at securing systems to drive business performance, and we are proud to partner with McLaren Racing, a World Championship-winning team firing on all cylinders.”
Beyond technology integration, the partnership includes brand visibility across McLaren Racing assets, digital and content-led activations, and hospitality-driven B2B engagement within the Formula One paddock. The agreement aligns with McLaren Racing’s broader commercial strategy of working with technology partners that deliver direct operational value.
For Rubrik, the collaboration provides a global platform to showcase cybersecurity and data resilience in one of the most demanding and data-intensive environments in professional sports. As F1 teams continue to deepen their reliance on cloud computing, analytics, and AI-driven systems, cybersecurity is increasingly viewed as a competitive differentiator.
The partnership underlines a wider shift within elite motorsport, where data security, system availability, and digital resilience are now as fundamental to success as engineering innovation and race execution.
